London,14 October 2024: Vorboss, London’s leading provider of direct internet connectivity for business, was recognised for its commitment to talent and inclusion at the 2024 ITP Awards.

Vorboss was named the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Champion, and Vorboss field technician Tilly Frost was named Apprentice of the Year in the Advanced category.

The awards reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering an inclusive and diverse workplace within the telecoms industry.

Rikshita Khela, Chief People Officer at Vorboss, said: “We’re so proud of Tilly – she’s worked incredibly hard, and deserves to be recognised. Our thanks to the ITP for their continued support of apprenticeships. The telecom industry needs amore inclusive approach if it’s going to benefit from the talent that’s out there, and apprenticeships – when run well – are a big part of that. Inclusion has been core to Vorboss from the beginning – we want to set new standards that will benefit the whole telecom industry.”

In addition to these wins, Vorboss sponsored the Workplace People & Culture Award (having won the category in 2023), which was won by connectivity provider M247. The sponsorship reflects the Vorboss commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

Vorboss won the DE&I award at the 2024 Comms National Awards in September, and is shortlisted in the category at the upcoming ISPA Awards in November.

The company has committed to reach gender parity across the company by 2028. A key step towards achieving that breakthrough for the telecoms industry will be Vorboss’ commitment to reach 50/50 representation within technical and engineering positions by 2027. The company is currently at more than a third representation of women in those roles. Vorboss is ahead of others in the telecommunications industry thanks to creating an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive – including policies such as paid period days, uniforms and tools designed for women, menopause awareness training, and field welfare facilities.

All Vorboss technicians are trained in the company’s dedicated academy, and 40% of technicians are current or former Vorboss apprentices.
