Throttling

When an ISP deliberately slows down your internet speed, usually at busy times.

ISPs throttle to manage network congestion or encourage customers to upgrade plans. For example, during peak evening hours, a residential user streaming films might notice buffering, while a business may experience slower cloud access if they exceed a data threshold, even though the connection is still active.
