When hackers try all possible passwords until they get the right one.

Every possible combination of digits, letters and symbols will be used until the correct password is seen. This may include a dictionary attack, which incorporates a wordlist associated with the targeted account/ business. Password length, complexity, and regular changes mitigate these threats.
