Botnet

A group of hacked devices secretly controlled by criminals to spread malware or launch attacks.

With a large botnet, attacks such as DDoS, stealing of data, or excessive sending of spam and phishing emails can be sent from the entire botnet or individual machines. Operations from these botnets are initiated from command and control software controlled by hackers.
