Role overview:
We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to collaborate with our sales and networks teams, supporting the design of connectivity solutions for customers.
As a key member of the commercial team, you will apply your technical expertise to develop and deliver tailored customer solutions while working cross-functionally with sales, channel, partnerships, and networks teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Design campus LAN (firewalling, switching, Wi-Fi) and multi-site WAN for customer environments
- Deliver technical training to internal sales teams, ensuring clear understanding of network technologies and solutions
- Assist in the development and maintenance of technical product documentation
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Produce clear, professional network diagrams and documentation
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to support pre-sales and post-sales engagements
The right candidate:
- Brings a deep fundamental networking knowledge as well as knowledge of IP/MPLS, BGP, EVPN and other related technologies.
- Has experience designing, implementing and supporting campus LAN deployments and multi-site WAN setups in a service provider or enterprise environment.
- Has hands on experience with Juniper, Ruckus and Fortinet (Palo Alto experience is preferred but not required)
- Has familiarity with Provide SD-WAN and SASE technologies
- Communicates clearly and confidently with both internal teams and customers, building trust and rapport quickly
- Enjoys mentoring and training others, especially in a sales support context
- Is highly organised, articulate in writing, and able to visualise complex systems through clear diagrams
- Understands how to align technical solutions with sales goals to support successful customer engagements
