Role overview:
The Networks team supports Vorboss network engineers and customer support staff to get new customers connected, and to maintain a reliable service. To do this we have developed a suite of internal tools that helps manage network device inventory, network configuration, and configure network devices ready for installation.
Key responsibilities:
- This is a highly technical domain working directly withindustry experts who build and manage large and complex networks. This roleoffers an opportunity to learn about networking technologies (previousnetworking experience is not required). Our challenge as product engineers isto apply our expertise to the process of scaling operations whilst maintaininga top tier customer experience.
- As a Network Automation Engineer, you will be responsiblefor delivering mainly API and internal system integrations as well as someinternal facing tools. You will be working as part of an embedded team workingdirectly with network engineers and other internal users.
The right candidate:
- Have a minimum of 3 years commercial experience working on back-end systems / APIs
- Have a good knowledge of relational database design and SQL
- Be happy working in an embedded team
- Have experience with Typescript or similar strongly typed languages
- Be a quick learner
- Be delivery focused
- Be a self-starter who can work with ambiguity driving continuous improvement through iteration
- Have an interest or experience in Python and networking technologies
- Have experienced setting up CI/CD pipelines and working with one or more public cloud providers (preferably AWS, but also Azure, GCP, etc.)
- Have experienced working in a start-up or scale-up environment
