Role overview:

Vorboss is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to play a key role in the finance team. You will be responsible for managing a team of trainee accountants, best ensuring that collectively, the finance team meet set expectations and support the business in a timely manner.

You will ideally have experience with Microsoft Dynamics or an alternative Enterprise ERP system, with an ability to demonstrate flexibility. In addition to demonstrating a strong understanding of financial accounting, and budgeting, you must be able to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial audiences.

The successful candidate will seek to improve finance processes, including documenting, updating, and ensuring adherence to new processes implemented.

Key responsibilities:

(Please note that this list is not exhaustive)

• Own the month end process and preparation of Management accounts.

• Support the learning and development of your direct reports; organising on-the job training and providing structure to exam timetables.

• Ensure that deadlines are met.

• Organise and lead financial operations including:

        - Overseeing daily processing and payments

        - Internal and external query management

        - Overseeing weekly bank and credit card reconciliations and supplier settlement

• Document finance processes and procedures and seek continuous improvement.

• Develop and maintain the company's budgeting and tracking process.

• Oversee preparation of business presentations, providing financial insights to support the company's strategic planning and decision-making.

• Evaluate team member performance.

• Represent the team at meetings and events.

• Own the annual Audit process.

• Adhoc regulatory requirements.

The right candidate:

• Minimum qualified in CIMA/ACCA/ACA (would consider a finalist).

• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and procedures.

• Experience of running the month end process.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.

• Strong experience in managing month end.

• Strong excel skills required, with a basic understanding of Power query.

• Experience in documenting and improving finance processes.

• Demonstrable experience in managing direct reports and ensuring team objectives are met.

• Experience with budgeting and analysis.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
