Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Street Works Coordinator who can undertake the management and processing of Streetworks notifications, permits and inspections in accordance with relevant legislations. You will work closely with local authorities and monitor all incoming council inspections, and action any defects with Vorboss contractors by working closely with Vorboss’ Build Planner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To own the management and processing of all necessary Streetworks permits and inspections.
  • You will submit permit applications, including opening and closing notices and registering reinstatement measurements, whilst constantly liaising with local authorities and Vorboss contractors to ensure permit compliance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local authorities and other third parties.
  • You will coordinate, apply, and pay for parking dispensations and suspensions to support all Streetworks activities.
  • You will monitor local authority inspections, and action any defects with Vorboss contractors. You will be responsible for flagging the defect, logging it on the tracker, and ensuring the Build Planner actions as appropriate.
  • You will own the database and management of challenging/resolving all FPNs and fines; including Section74 charges that come through, and all charges which arise from the council.
  • The booking of traffic management installations, bus stop suspensions and other supporting requirements to undertake civils works.
  • Oversee and manage the permit fee and inspection fee database and ensure all invoicing is processed and paid efficiently.
  • Review and approve/dispute all lane rental charges incurred and ensure these are recorded and paid for efficiently.

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list, and other duties and responsibilities within the scope and grading of the post may arise over time. Due to the fast paced environment, we require flexibility and a can-do attitude.

Skills & Experience:

  • You must have previous Streetworks experience, preferably in a telecoms or civils environment.
  • You must be familiar with working within Street Manager/ EToN/ Symology or similar.
  • You must have sound knowledge of NRSWA.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Traffic Management.
  • Experience with liaising with Local Authorities.
  • Organised with the ability to prioritise workload.
