Vorboss requires someone with a high degree of technical competence who can design and implement new security functions and own the hands-on management of security systems. This role is suited to a candidate with technical engineering background as you will be responsible for maintaining and operating our security systems and deploying new security systems. This role demands someone who can work collaboratively with other teams to understand their needs and ensure they are following good security practices.

The technical environment at Vorboss is modern and varied. We operate our own high-performance network both across London and more widely, and we have considerable infrastructure as well as significant use of cloud. This role offers opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and methods in a high-growth setting.

•    Monitor systems security posture and seek improvements (e.g.,vulnerability management) on a continuous basis.

•    Provide operational insight to the evaluation and selection of cyber security solutions.

•    Administer and tune cyber security tools and solutions including preventative and detective measures such as firewalls, vulnerability management tools, and EDR.

•    Assist with technical evaluations and proofs-of-concept for new cyber security solutions.

•    Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware, and track its performance.

•    Test security infrastructure software and hardware (including virtual) to ensure its effectiveness.

•    Develop and document security related practices and processes.

•    Respond to security incidents, leading or assisting in initial response, recovery, remediation and lessons learned as necessary.

•    Participate in security evaluations and risk assessment of vendors and third-party solutions supplied to Vorboss.

•    Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent qualification).

•    Four or more years’ experience in a security administration orrelated position.

•    Proven experience operating and maintaining security systems.

•    Extensive knowledge of operating system and database security.

•    Proficiency in security tools, and security assurance solutions.

•    A broad knowledge of security systems and technologies.

•    Critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problems.

•    Versatile and adaptable - comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

•    Excellent communication skills.

•    Security certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CEH or CISM preferred.
