Role overview:

Vorboss is looking for a Policy and Public Affairs Lead who will be responsible for our engagement with external political stakeholders. You will monitor, analyse and communicate intelligence on the emerging legislative landscape into the Vorboss Senior team. This role requires someone to lead Vorboss’ assessment of emerging policy risks and opportunities, as well as design and implement campaigns that seek to address these. The successful candidate will report to and work closely with the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer.

Key responsibilities:

  • Research and develop accurate, insightful and persuasive briefings and other materials for internal and external use.  
  • Organise events, meetings and briefing to deliver engagement plans.  
  • Develop strong relationships with influential stakeholders, improving the company’s reputation and its ability to influence policy and legislation.  
  • Represent Vorboss in discussions with key stakeholders.  
  • Resolve stakeholder queries, this includes enquires from MPs.  
  • Provide advice and guidance to colleagues across the business, acting as an advocate for stakeholders’ interests.
  • Prepare carefully targeted engagement plans to advance the company’s position in partnership with business units.  

The right candidate:

  • Familiarity with the digital technology policy landscape. Telecoms policy would be preferable but is not required.
  • Experience in advocacy or communications is required.  
  • Experience of direct parliamentary and ministerial engagement.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex issues.  
  • Comfortable with public speaking and speaking whilst being recorded.  
  • Familiarity with the workings of Whitehall and Westminster.
