Role overview:
We are actively seeking a highly motivated Mid/Senior Desktop Support Analyst who shares our passion for serving our expanding userbase in our London office. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring exceptional technical support to users across our organisation while also exploring avenues to enhance the quality of our services. Joining our friendly and dynamic Desktop Support team, we value the importance of finding someone who aligns with our company culture and complements our team spirit.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide timely and efficient technical support to end-users, troubleshooting software and hardware issues with proficiency.
- Act as the go-to person for complex technical issues, collaborating closely with team members to achieve effective problem resolution.
- Conduct thorough analysis of recurring issues, identifying root causes, and providing proactive recommendations for process improvements.
- Perform hardware and software barebone builds, installations, configurations, upgrades, and regular maintenance as needed.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of support activities, including issue resolutions, troubleshooting steps, and knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of IT projects and initiatives, meeting all desktop support requirements.
- Responsible for new starter training and inductions, as well as facilitating smooth onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Provide comprehensive support for audio and visual systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Respond to security events as may be required, includingpost-event remediation and lessons-learned reviews.
- Provide security support and guidance for users, to help ensure secure practice is understood and followed, and that users always remain vigilant to security threats.
The right candidate:
- Demonstrated expertise in a mid/senior-level desktop support role, adept at handling complex technical issues while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Strong proficiency in desktop operating systems, particularly Windows, and a wide range of software applications. Extensive experience with AD, Azure AD, O365, Intune, Group Policy, and SharePoint.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other essential network protocols.
- Proficient in utilizing patch and security management tools.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently, effectively manage priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
