Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced individual who can own and manage the quality of Vorboss fibre installations. Taking a management role in the Fibre Build team, you will work closely with our team of planners and installers to define and implement quality standards and assist in the design and build of complex fibre installations across our tall building clients.

You will manage a team of planners and installers, ensuring they fulfil all necessary requirements when planning and completing customer connection jobs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will manage, implement, monitor, and control the quality of Vorboss fibre installations
  • You will ensure all orders are installed as per Vorboss standards including signing off fibre route maps and approving installation techniques and standard operating procedures
  • You will provide support and guidance to Vorboss installation teams and planners on installation best practices
  • You will provide technical input to Vorboss Partnerships team to assist in pre-sale activities of Vorboss fibre for enterprise clients.
  • You will periodically engage with client technical representatives to define project requirements for non-standard builds.

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list, and other duties and responsibilities within the scope and grading of the post may arise over time. Due to the fast paced environment, we require flexibility and a can-do attitude.

Skills & Experience:

  • You must have at least 5 years previous experience within the fibre industry.
  • You must have a strong understanding of internal fibre installations, inclusion practical experience across all elements of internal installations (Example: working within risers, tray work, trunking, raised flooring, works through service penetrations, etc.).
  • You must be committed to quality and promote a quality culture across a workforce
  • You must be familiar with relevant industry standards and codes of practice (e.g. BS EN 50174, BS 6071).
  • Previous management experience is desirable, and you should be comfortable working and communicating with a variety of abilities, teams and departments
  • A construction management background is desirable, specifically relating to building installations.
  • 5+ years previous experience within the fibre industry is desirable
