Role Overview

We are looking for a talented and proactive Health and Safety Advisor to ensure that employers and workers comply with safety legislation and that safety policies and practices are adopted and adhered to.

You will use your knowledge and skills to promote a positive health and safety culture in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• To interpret, build upon, and comply with company safety standards.

• You will assist within the team in developing an audit program and functioning non-conformance schedule.

• Carefully maintain nonconformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions.

• You will document safety events and activities with internal reporting, investigations, and audits.

• You will frequently visit sites across London and identify training needs and take action to ensure company-wide compliance.

• You will assist in providing presentations and company information.

• You will manage the administration and monitoring of daily documentation.

• You will help to develop new standards with improvements as needed and create testing through organising the trial of products or equipment.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous civils/ utilities experience allowing you to understand the nature, and the importance, of the work being conducted.

• Exceptionally organised, concise, and able to be critical of workmanship whilst maintaining a strong working relationship with contractors and employees.

• You must present yourself as a leader of safety assurance and provide solutions with recommendations to ensure our standards are maintained.

• You must have NEBOSH Construction certification as a minimum.

• Strong IT skills.

• You must have a desire to continue your education within Health and Safety and fully commit to the team in the new role.
