Role Overview

We are looking for highly skilled data centre technicians to ensure that our data centre presences are maintained to a high standard and perform optimally. In this role, your duties will include installing racks, cabling, and equipment in our points of presences. It will also include fault finding, repairs and upkeep of our stock areas. This is a hybrid role whereby you will spend your time between our points of presences and customer sites and primarily based in our office.

Key Responsibilities:

(Please note that this is not an exhaustive list, and other duties and responsibilities within the scope and grading of the post may arise over time. Due to the fast-paced environment, we require flexibility and a can-do attitude).

• Commission, decommission and maintain equipment in our points of presences and customer sites

• Connecting, troubleshooting, and diagnosing fibre connections in our points of presences

• Update internal systems and documentation around work completed

• Keep track of stock, tools and equipment needed for our datacentre presences

• Assist with planning and executing maintenance on customer and infrastructure migrations

• Participate in an on-call rota for responding to outages and other critical events

Skills & Experience:

• 2-3 years of experience as a data centre technician, or similar.

• Extensive experience in installing and maintaining data centre equipment.

• Experience with fibre cabling and troubleshooting in telecoms environments

• Ability to work as part of a team and alone

• Exceptional communication skills
