Role Overview

Vorboss is looking for a Carrier Network Engineer to act as a point of contact, lead negotiator and strategist in dealing with and developing relationships with carriers/vendors. This entails carrier/vendor selection, contract/price negotiations, onboarding, contract and relationship management and managing, tracking and reporting vendor performance. The position will be the primary point of contact for resolution of internal and external issues associated with carriers/vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrier/Vendor Management

o Act as point of contact with assigned carriers/vendors

o Initiate new carrier/vendor onboarding process to ensure all departments have the necessary information to interface with carrier/vendor.

o Provide management support on escalations and issues affecting service delivery.

• Contract Management

o Engage in negotiations and strategic discussions to maximize Vorboss partner relationships.

o Monitor, manage and support adherence to contract/price terms and conditions.

o Successfully collaborate with finance, legal and other internal departments on contract expirations ensuring Vorboss compliance with renewals and renegotiations.

• Process Management/Customer Experience

o Spearhead reporting on carrier/vendor performance, ensuring provisioning, repair and billing SLAs are met.

o Improve efficiencies by process change through collaboration across departments.

o Serve as an escalation point with carrier/vendor on any service issues and matters over SLA.

• Product Support

o Assist product team as necessary with implementation/onboarding carriers/vendors.

Skills & Experience:

• Prior experience in the telecommunications industry.

• In depth knowledge and understanding of contract and carrier/vendor management principals, as well as account management skills.

• Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.

• Experience working cross functionally with various groups and departments (internally as well as externally).

• Excellent organisational skills and ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced work environment.
